James Tranchemontagne is the Chef and one of the partners at The Frog and Turtle-a Seacoast Investment company and managing partner at Vallee Square Holding. He has been a resident of Westbrook for 16 years. His companies have been key in the revitalization of Westbrook’s Downtown. Both him and his restaurant have achieved local, regional and nation notoriety for their food and uniqueness.
When not at work, James teaches cooking to high risk groups of teens, immigrants, and senior citizens. He is a big supporter for My Place Teen Center and the Salvation Army. James was a pioneer in the “farm to table” movement in Maine.
In his private life, he lives on a homestead with his two children. A lover of music; you may be fortunate at some point to hear him play some bad guitar.
