DESCRIPTION:July’s Westbrook Social Bicycle Ride will be a Family Ice Cream Ride!\n \nMeet at the Westbrook Common at 3 PM for a 15 minute kids bike safety presentation\, after which we will ride at a leisurely pace through neighborhood streets to Dairy Queen to purchase some creamy goodness\, then return to the Common by the same route. It is a 5 mile round trip.\n \nKids in trailers\, bicycle seats\, and tag-alongs are welcome. No kids trikes or scooters\, please. Kids on their own bikes should have some experience on quiet streets. Highly trained\, physically fit\, and dedicated to protecting our community in high-risk situations. Sergeant Brian Olson and Westbrook native Officer Garrett McCarthy will host a static display of ESU equipment\, followed by a question-and-answer session. Detective Sergeant Timothy Gardner will be on hand to discuss his important role on the team as a certified Crisis Negotiator. \nEvery child who attends will be entered into a raffle to win a prize. \nThis is an in person demonstration
