Times have been tough and it seems like a lot of people may be down on their luck, but you still hear about the community in Westbrook banding together to help those that are less fortunate, like the amazing work that’s done at the My Place Teen Center, or the fact that Brea Lu recently took donations that customers had given them and paid it forward during the holiday season.

Whether it’s your neighbors or the friendly owners of the Daily Grind, Java Joe, people in this town seem so happy to be here. And of course, even if you’re new to Westbrook, everyone goes out of their way to make you feel welcome.
Although Westbrook is only a short drive from Portland, sometimes it feels like it’s so much further away (in a good way) of course! There’s a small-town feel, where people know who you are here and they care about you. After all, if Maine is the way life should be, Westbrook is the perfect epitome of that.

The best part is, downtown Westbrook is truly up and coming, meaning that the best is still to come, thanks to the support of the people and community that make Westbrook what it is.
