Amy Grommes Pulaski
Executive Director

Amy began as our interim director in January 2021 and agreed to serve in a permanent capacity that April. Amy comes to us with extensive experience in non-profit management.
She has in-depth knowledge of supporting small businesses & economic development, through her work managing Portland’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for 10 years. She also helped the Greater Portland Council of Governments launch a grant program to support small businesses in response to the economic impact of COVID-19 in Cumberland County using local and federal resources.
She brings experience in fundraising, grant writing, and volunteer program development. Amy has dedicated her career to solving community problems through creativity and partnerships.
Trained in both engineering and community development, she has the ability to see across disciplines and boundaries to create holistic solutions.
Aerin Young
Event & Volunteer Coordinator
Aerin serves as the Event & Volunteer Coordinator, helping foster a vibrant, connected, and people-centered downtown. After completing her Master of Public Administration, she returned to her home state of Maine, bringing a passion for community building and commitment to inclusive, collaborative engagement.
With experience in nonprofit fundraising and public-sector work with Jefferson County, Colorado, Aerin has focused on projects that strengthen community connections and bring people together. At DDW, she transforms events into experiences that highlight the character, energy, and creativity of Westbrook, while fostering opportunities for residents, businesses, and visitors to engage and thrive together.
Guided by a belief that strong communities are built through connection and participation, Aerin is dedicated to creating welcoming spaces and meaningful experiences that help Westbrook flourish.
